Wayde L.Scott - After graduation I moved with my family to Toronto, briefly, and then on to Edmonton,
Alberta, closer to my family roots. I was born in Regina Saskatchewan. I started
working in construction for a short period and then joined the Bank of Montreal at
the age of 19 years, where I could put my education to work. I stayed in Edmonton
for a couple of years and then moved on my own back to Montreal where I met, and
married, a French Canadian - Micheline Verdier, who also worked for the Bank. We
have been married thirty-three years now.
I attended McGill University continuing education evening courses for a number of
years to get a degree in banking. I progressed up through the ranks over a 31 year
career in the bank to Senior Commercial Credit Management and retired at 50 in 1995.
My wife retired in 1999, but continues to be active for a few days a week in the Bank and
social/administrative work at a Jesuit retreat nearby. I occupy myself with maintaining
the house, and the RV and reading and writing. My wife and I adopted a son in 1971.
Alexander is 30. We have all integrated fully into Quebec society. Mine and my wife's
hobby is RVing in our 31 foot RV Mobile Home. We have traveled all over Canada and much of the north western and north eastern and south eastern United States.
Our favourite trips were to New Orleans, Louisiana and of course Banff and
Jasper, Alberta.
We have resided in our home in Pierrefonds QC. for 28 years now.
