- As for a bit of a Bio on me... (Written in March/01)
After leaving CHS... went to Sir George for a BA in Psych '69... then hung out in Europe for a year
before coming back to Montreal to take a position at Douglas Hospital as the
Director of Therapeutic Recreation... In '77 went to grad school in Cortland, NY where I did a MSc in Outdoor
Recreation followed by a few years in Calgary as a Recreation Supt. with the City. Came back east in '81 to work for NY State
following the '80 Olympics in Lake Placid... to work on there post Olympic operation plans for the
facilities... Since then, have gotten into buying property... renting
apartments... and buying more. Spend most of my time enjoying the area lakes and mountains while dabbling in local
politics. Tomorrow is a new day and everyday has become a fun adventure. With all the snow we got this year... even Spring may
become a new adventure... Haha ?
Again Thanks for bring home the past and some of the good times of CHS... it seems so long ago now... have been spending quite a bit of time in Chateauguay these past 2 years (about a 2 1/2hrs drive from Lake Placid)... especially these past 6 months with my Dad passing away and having to try to find a place to take care of my Mother. Now have the challenge of selling the homestead and dealing with how much Chateauguay seems to have changed... now wish I had done better in French class.
